Our Mom, who is especially missed by her children: Jane, Kim, Ken, Margaret, Caroline and 12
grandchildren was a successful business woman who operated a number of businesses over time
including an Auctioneering firm, an Agro Chemicals Factory and eventually a Real Estate Firm.
Mom was a well known political figure who served graciously as the first Thika District KANU women
leader. It was while in this position that Mom launched a campaign to fight for the rights of women
and children, a cause she strongly believed in.
The photo above was taken at a political rally as she gave one of her many powerful speeches, on her
belief in women's rights.
Mom suffered her first stroke in 2004 and was in and out of hospitals until that fateful March
morning when she accepted a calling to a much bigger role as an Angel in heaven.
Our Mother lived to support with love, giving selflessly, and her lifetime was clearly lived to give
love and inspiration.
Thank you Mother for sharing a big part of your very short life with us. Your legacy truly lives on
beyond the grave, there are a few Angels among us and we were blessed enough to have had one for a
Mother and Grandmother.

Today it would be wonderful to see you laugh or smile but heaven lent you to this world for such a short while. And in that short but precious time you brought along much love and all that love is with you now in heaven above. Your leaving caused so many tears and such a lot of pain, but GOD needed one more angel so he took you back again.
